AWAY FROM THE NORM

Tracked Excavators and Payloaders are the widely used earth-moving equipment you will usually encounter at a job site. They are rugged, high-performing machines dedicated to specific processes such as the excavator’s main role as a digger and the payloader's task of heaping and loading.

But they come at a cost. Operating two different machines at the same time is a challenge in terms of maintenance and fuel management, and requires extra manpower for it to be used.

That is where a Backhoe Loader comes in. It was conceptualized as a platform that can be highly versatile, adaptable, and efficient to use in terms of general construction, road work, and even an agricultural machine.

THE TWO MASTERS

There are two existing variants of the 3DX Backhoe Loader: The 3DX Eco (Boss Master) and the 3DX Plus (Road Master). Each variant has its capabilities but functions almost the same.

The 3DX Eco (Boss Master) is the more economical one, fit for operators who are working with a tight budget.

The 3DX Plus (Road Master) has better performance which serves its functions well and highlights the operator’s comfort.

With the two laid down for everyone to see, let’s see how much would it cost to get and operate one. Purchasing a unit would cost an amount of Php 3,000,000.00 for a brand new 3DX ECO, and you could get a 3DX PLUS with an additional Php 900,000.00.

Now that a unit has been purchased, having a 3-Year PMS package is in the neighborhood of

Php 510,000-531,000.00, depending on the unit being operated. This covers maintenance and essential parts replacement.

Tires are important to any wheeled equipment, it provides the ability to move and do its most basic of functions. Over time they wear out due to terrain, wear-outs, and if not used, would degrade. Depending on the usage and frequency of replacement over a three-year period, it would cost between Php 612,000 and 637,000.00.

Fuel is of course a vital factor in machines; it’s what makes them run and do their work. In a three-year period and depending on the usage, would cost between Php 4,726,000 and  5,227,200.00.

WITH THOSE IN MIND

The Total Cost of Ownership of a 3DX Eco for 3 years is 16% lower than 3DX Plus. Again an economical version of the latter.

However, the functions and features of the 3DX Plus are a “plus” (pun intended) as they come in handy and emphasize the operator’s comfort.

Overall, the 3DX Backhoe Loaders are a force to be reckoned with, they can improve a work site’s efficiency and productivity without it costing too much.

How about you? What do you think? Is the 3DX up your alley?
